CHIPBOARD

GYPSUM – The lightest of the chipboard products is Gypsum.  Gypsum is an “off-spec” product ranging from .011 up to .015.  Our Heavy Gypsum is .017. For the most part, this product is cut to size.  Stock size at this time is 40” x 48” used for pallet covers or as an interleave between products.   These sheets range from .016 to .140 in thickness and are cut to size. The pasting begins after .045.  The maximum size for pasted Chipboard is 52” x 144”. The maximum sizes for .045 and under is 80” x 60” and the minimum size is 3.5” x 5”.  A scored slip sheet with clip corners is available as a non stock item in a minimum of .040.  No rolls are available. At this time, certain printer’s sizes are our stock items.  Some other commonly used industrial size sheets are also being stocked.  Clay Coated Bleached chip used in the food industry and other specialty Chipboard products are not stock products, but can be attained. Uses for this product are:  backing notebooks, scrap booking, picture framing industry, angle board base stock, and pallet covers. Sometimes used as coasters for the restaurants.
