Our Virgin Kraft is made up of 70% Virgin and 30% Advantage. Some Northern mills will have true Virgin paper, but 70/30 has become the industry standard. True 100% Virgin is obtainable and is very expensive compared to the Virgin and Advantage that is currently stocked. The best way to tell the difference between Virgin and Advantage Kraft Paper is to compare the two pieces. Virgin will be a “cleaner”, with less specs and a smoother finish. Advantage will have little black and white specs and normally is lighter in color. Two of the primary applications of Kraft Paper are void filling and using it to wrap products for protection. These two applications make up 50% of the Kraft business.
